Description

The Lustris is a 120mm spherical pendant light with a transparent acrylic diffuser etched in a ground crystal effect, suspended on a clear Teflon cable from a chrome metal canopy. An integrated 6.5W LED inside the sphere casts 3000K warm white light through the textured surface, creating a pattern of refractions and highlights across the diffuser.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, entrance halls and bedroom reading positions, the pendant works as a solo fitting or in multiples spaced 300-500mm apart over a worktop or table. The 2000mm Teflon cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang 600-800mm above a surface depending on ceiling height. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the transparent cable creates the visual effect of the sphere floating unsupported.

The crystal-effect etching on the acrylic diffuser scatters the light internally before it exits, softening the LED point source and reducing glare compared to a plain clear globe. The 120mm diameter and lightweight acrylic construction make the Lustris compact enough for low-ceiling rooms and small spaces where a larger pendant would overwhelm. The chrome finish on the canopy pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors.

No. The integrated 6.5W LED is non-dimmable and operates at fixed output on standard 230V mains.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2000mm cable is adjustable on installation. For a dining table or kitchen island the pendant typically sits 600-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Lustris if the cable is shortened during fitting.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating limits the Lustris to dry indoor environments only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor locations.

How is the crystal effect created?

The acrylic diffuser is etched with a ground crystal pattern that refracts and scatters light internally, creating highlights and shadows across the sphere's surface. This is a surface treatment on clear acrylic, not actual cut crystal.
