Description
The Lustria is a swing arm wall light with an adjustable aged brass arm extending approximately 400mm from the wall, terminating in a cylindrical brass lampholder fitted for a single E27 bulb. The arm pivots on a brass-bushed joint at the wall bracket, allowing the light to be directed left, right or pulled away from the wall to suit bedside reading, hallway task lighting or accent positions above a console table.
Designed for installation without ceiling wiring, the Lustria comes with an 845mm fabric-covered cable, a built-in inline switch and a standard UK 3-pin plug, meaning it mounts to the wall with two screws and plugs directly into a nearby socket. This makes it suitable for rental properties, period buildings where chasing walls for new wiring is impractical, or as bedside lighting where a wall-mounted reading light is preferred over a table lamp taking up surface space.
The aged brass finish shows a warmer, slightly darker patina than polished or brushed brass, giving the fitting a lived-in character that pairs with both warm traditional interiors and industrial-leaning contemporary schemes. The arm length and pivot joint allow the bulb to be positioned 160-400mm from the wall depending on how far the arm is extended, making it adaptable to different wall depths and furniture positions. Made in Italy by Ideal Lux, the fitting carries IP20 rating for dry indoor use and a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Lustria takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. For the exposed bulb style shown in the image, a large globe filament LED bulb or vintage-reproduction filament bulb works well visually. Maximum wattage depends on the bulb type — LED bulbs up to 10W are typical.
Does it need to be wired in?
No. The fitting comes with an 845mm fabric-covered cable, an inline switch and a UK 3-pin plug. It mounts to the wall with two screws and plugs into a nearby socket, so no electrical wiring or qualified electrician is required for installation.
How far does the arm extend from the wall?
The arm can pivot and extend to position the bulb approximately 160-400mm from the wall depending on the angle. The projection specification of 160mm refers to the minimum clearance when the arm is folded back towards the wall.
Is it dimmable?
The switch is a simple on/off inline toggle and does not support dimming. To achieve dimming you would need a dimmable E27 bulb and a plug-in lamp dimmer inserted between the wall socket and the fitting's plug, though this is not an officially supported configuration.
