Description

The Lustria is an 8-arm pendant light built around a central cylindrical tube in aged brass, from which eight curved brass arms extend asymmetrically in a sculptural configuration. Each arm terminates in an E27 bulb holder with exposed lampholder threads in matching aged brass. The 920mm overall diameter and 1600mm cable drop make this a large-scale fitting suited to dining rooms, double-height entrance halls, and open-plan kitchen-living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.8m or above.

Designed for installation over dining tables or as a central feature in large living spaces, the Lustria distributes light across eight points in a balanced pattern without shades or diffusers — the light source itself becomes part of the visual composition. The asymmetric arrangement of the arms gives the fitting a different silhouette from each viewing angle. Bulbs are sold separately, allowing choice between warm filament-style LED globes at 2200K-2700K for ambient warmth or clear glass bulbs for a sharper contrast against the brass metalwork.

The aged brass finish shows tonal variation and a slightly oxidised surface texture that softens the metallic reflection compared to polished brass, creating a warmer, less formal appearance that suits both mid-century and industrial-leaning interiors. The central tube houses the cable and provides structural support for the arms, while the circular ceiling rose distributes the 8-arm load evenly. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Ideal Lux manufactures this in Italy with metal fabrication and brass finishing done in-house.
