Description

The Luna is a 5W magnetic track globe light with a 13cm frosted glass sphere shade, designed to attach to Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system. The integrated LED offers adjustable colour temperature from 3000K warm white to 6000K cool white, controlled via a compatible dimmer or smart controller. The frosted glass diffuses the light output across the full surface of the sphere, reducing glare and providing ambient rather than directional illumination.

Designed for track lighting installations in kitchens, hallways, retail environments and offices, the Luna attaches magnetically to the Exility track rail without screws or clips, allowing it to be repositioned along the track as needed. The DC 48V low-voltage system means the track carries power safely and the individual lights remain cool to touch even after extended use. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

The 19.8cm drop from the track rail to the base of the globe suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights, placing the light source approximately 2.2m above floor level when ceiling-mounted. The black metal canopy and stem contrast with the opal glass sphere, giving definition to the fitting in both lit and unlit states. The adjustable CCT function allows the same fitting to provide warm ambient light for residential evening use or cooler task-oriented light for daytime working environments, without replacing bulbs or fittings.

The magnetic mounting system requires the Maytoni Exility track rail (sold separately) to be installed first. Once the track is powered and mounted, the Luna clips onto the rail magnetically and draws power through contact points in the mounting bracket. This allows multiple Luna fittings to be arranged along a single track run, spaced according to the lighting requirements of the room, and adjusted or replaced without re-wiring.

No. The Luna is designed specifically for Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system, which operates on DC 48V low voltage. It will not fit or function on standard 230V mains track systems from other manufacturers. The Exility track rail must be purchased and installed separately.

The CCT adjustment requires a compatible dimmer or smart controller that supports tuneable white LED technology. The specific control method depends on which Exility track controller is installed with your track system. Refer to the Exility track documentation for pairing instructions.

Can multiple Luna fittings be used on one track?

Yes. The Exility track system supports multiple magnetic fittings along a single rail, limited only by the total wattage capacity of the track power supply. Each Luna draws 5W, so the number of fittings per track depends on your specific power supply rating.

Is the glass shade replaceable?

The frosted glass globe is a sealed component of the fitting. If the glass is damaged, contact Maytoni or an authorised distributor for replacement parts or fitting replacement under the 3-year warranty terms.
