Description

The Lumos is a 56mm diameter outdoor recessed LED downlight with an integrated 9W LED module emitting 4000K neutral white light. The housing is machined from aluminium with a black powder-coat finish, and carries an IP54 rating for dust and water splash resistance, making it suitable for covered exterior locations such as patio soffits, porch ceilings and canopies.

Designed for installation in outdoor ceiling positions where the fitting is protected from direct rain by an overhang, the Lumos works as path lighting under eaves, accent lighting on facade features, or task lighting above outdoor seating areas and doorways. The 56mm diameter requires a shallow recess of approximately 60-70mm depending on ceiling construction, allowing installation in typical timber soffit builds. The 4000K colour temperature produces a crisp white output that aids visibility without the warm amber cast of lower temperatures.

The modular design separates the LED source, reflector and trim ring into individual components, allowing the reflector optic to be swapped or additional diffuser lenses to be fitted if required. The black aluminium trim ring sits flush with the ceiling surface and the clear glass lens at the aperture protects the LED from dust ingress while maintaining light output. At 9W the fitting is designed for low-energy long-term operation without needing bulb replacement, though it is not dimmable on standard phase-control dimmers.
