Description

The Lumos is a 65mm recessed outdoor downlight with an integrated 15W LED module rated at 3000K warm white, housed in a powder-coated black aluminium body with external cooling fins. The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction when the fitting is correctly installed into a suitable exterior surface.

Designed for installation into exterior soffits, covered patios, eaves, porch ceilings and garden room overhangs, the Lumos fits a 65mm cut-out and sits flush with a 22mm profile above the ceiling plane once installed. The modular design accepts interchangeable lens and screen accessories (sold separately), allowing the beam angle and light distribution to be adjusted after installation depending on whether the downlight is lighting a pathway, highlighting a feature, or providing general ambient coverage across a patio.

The aluminium construction and external heat-sink fins dissipate heat generated by the 15W LED module without requiring active ventilation, making the fitting suitable for enclosed soffit installations where airflow is limited. The black powder-coated finish resists UV degradation and provides a low-profile appearance that recedes into dark ceilings and painted timber soffits. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, delivering a softer tone than daylight-white LEDs and reducing the harsh contrast often associated with outdoor security lighting.

The non-dimmable LED module is rated for outdoor use and carries a 5-year warranty. Installation requires mains connection via a suitable IP-rated junction box or outdoor wiring system, and the fitting must be earthed.
