Description
The Luminis is an outdoor wall light with a cylindrical body in die-cast aluminium, finished in anthracite grey. A clear Pyrex glass cylinder sits inside the main housing, wrapped with horizontal aluminium louvres that diffuse light outward and downward while shielding the E27 bulb from direct view. The fitting mounts on a rectangular anthracite backplate and projects 250mm from the wall.
Designed for residential and commercial building exteriors, the Luminis suits positions next to front doors, garage entrances, side gates, and along boundary walls where downward-directed light is needed without spillage above the fitting. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed locations under eaves, on porches, and in open courtyards across the UK. The 110mm height keeps the visual footprint compact on narrow wall sections.
The die-cast aluminium body resists corrosion in coastal and damp environments better than pressed steel alternatives, and the Pyrex glass diffuser withstands thermal shock from rapid temperature changes during British winters. The anthracite finish is a charcoal grey tone that sits between graphite and black, pairing well with render, brick, timber cladding and aluminium window frames. The fitting accepts any standard E27 LED or halogen bulb up to the maximum wattage specified in the table below, and dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb choice.

Frequently Asked
What does the IP44 rating mean for outdoor use?
IP44 means the fitting is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and splashing water from any direction. This makes it suitable for outdoor positions under eaves, on porches, and in other locations where the fitting is not directly exposed to heavy rain or hose-directed water.
What bulb does it take?
The Luminis takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. The bulb is not included. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-12W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor ambient lighting. Check the maximum wattage in the Specification table before fitting.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, but dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose. Use a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with an LED-compatible dimmer switch rated for the load. Not all E27 LED bulbs are dimmable, so check the bulb packaging before installation.
How is it installed?
The fitting mounts on a rectangular backplate fixed to the wall with screws and plugs. The 2150mm cable length gives flexibility to route wiring through the wall or down to an external junction box. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK wiring regulations.
