Description

The Luminary is a 380mm lantern chandelier with a four-sided ironwork frame in oil rubbed bronze, topped with a scrollwork canopy and suspended on an adjustable chain. Four E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit on turned holders inside the open frame, casting light outward through the panelled sides and downward through the base.

Designed for entrance halls, stairwells and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Luminary suits traditional and country-house interiors where period-style metalwork is needed. The 552mm minimum drop (fitting plus chain) places the lantern below ceiling level, while the 1524mm chain allows a maximum drop of 2077mm for double-height spaces or stair voids. The oil rubbed bronze finish provides a dark, near-black patina that pairs with oak, walnut and other warm-toned timbers.

The ironwork frame carries decorative scrollwork on the canopy and fleur-de-lis accents on the arms, giving the fitting a historic appearance without excessive ornament. At 380mm diameter and 492mm height, the lantern provides clear visual presence in a 3-4m hallway or above a dining table seating six to eight. The open sides of the frame mean the bulbs themselves are visible, so period-style candle bulbs or clear filament LEDs maintain the aesthetic better than frosted globes.
