Description

The Luma is a 60cm outdoor bollard light built from powder-coated metal finished in white, with a rectangular head housing two G9 bulbs behind a transparent Pyrex glass diffuser. The IP44 rating protects the electrical components from rain and splashing water, making it suitable for garden paths, driveways, patios and front entrances exposed to UK weather.

Designed for pathway and boundary lighting, the 60cm height positions the light output at mid-shin level, illuminating the ground immediately around the bollard without creating glare at eye level. The two G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind Pyrex glass, which distributes the light evenly across a 2-3m radius depending on bulb wattage. The bollard mounts onto a concrete base or paving slab via fixings concealed within the rectangular base plate.

The white powder-coated finish is applied over the metal body to resist corrosion and UV degradation in outdoor conditions. The rectangular head measures 100mm wide with a 150mm projection from the central column, creating a directional light spread that works well when bollards are spaced 2-3m apart along a path. The G9 bulb fitting accepts halogen or LED capsules, giving flexibility to choose between warm white for residential gardens or daylight white for commercial pathway marking.

How is it installed?

The bollard mounts onto a concrete base or paving slab via fixings concealed within the rectangular base plate. Cable entry is from below, requiring an underground armoured cable run from the supply. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and connected to a compatible outdoor dimmer circuit. Standard non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer.
