Description

The Lucidus-1 is a 350mm diameter flush ceiling light with a white metal dome and a satin opal polycarbonate diffuser panel that sits recessed into the lower aperture. An integrated LED inside the dome provides 3000K warm white light that diffuses evenly through the translucent panel. The fitting projects approximately 60mm from the ceiling once installed, making it suitable for rooms with lower ceiling heights or where a close-to-ceiling profile is preferred.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, landing areas and smaller living rooms, the Lucidus-1 provides general ambient lighting rather than task or accent light. The satin opal diffuser softens the LED source and distributes light across the ceiling and down into the room without visible glare points or hotspots. The flush design fits standard UK ceiling roses and the white metal finish blends into white or light-coloured ceilings.

The polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and lighter than glass equivalents, reducing the total weight of the fitting and simplifying installation. The matt white finish on the metal dome is powder-coated for durability and resists yellowing over time. The integrated LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use at 3000K colour temperature, which maintains a consistent warm tone throughout the lamp's lifespan.

Is the Lucidus-1 dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and should be fitted to a standard on/off circuit only.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 60mm projection from the ceiling makes the Lucidus-1 suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above, including lower-ceilinged bedrooms, hallways and landing areas where a pendant would hang too low.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Lucidus-1 is suitable for dry interior locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or splashing occurs. For bathrooms, look for fittings with IP44 or higher ratings.

How is the diffuser cleaned?

Switch off the mains supply before cleaning. Wipe the polycarbonate diffuser with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fitting or using chemical sprays that may damage the satin finish.
