Description
The Lucidra is a 20cm sphere pendant light with a white opal plastic diffuser, an aluminium suspension canopy and a black PVC-sleeved cable. The single E27 bulb socket (bulb sold separately) sits inside the sphere, casting light through the opal plastic to give soft, even diffusion. The IP44 rating allows installation in covered outdoor areas such as porches, balconies under eaves, and conservatories, as well as bathrooms and indoor spaces.
Designed for residential entranceways, small dining nooks, bedside pendant positions, and outdoor-covered seating areas, the Lucidra pairs compact size with practical weatherproofing. The 20cm diameter makes it suitable for spaces where a larger globe would dominate, such as narrow hallways or small balconies. The cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be positioned between 500-900mm below the ceiling rose depending on the room height and intended use.
The white opal diffuser is a single-piece injection-moulded plastic shell that clips onto the aluminium canopy, so there are no visible seams or joins across the sphere when viewed from below. The IP44 rating means the fitting is protected against splashing water from any direction, but is not submersible or suitable for direct rain exposure. The dimmable E27 socket works with standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, allowing control over light output when paired with a compatible dimmer switch.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used outdoors?
Yes, but only in covered outdoor areas such as under a porch roof, balcony overhang or pergola with solid roofing. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water but not direct rainfall or submersion. Do not install in exposed positions where rain can hit the fitting directly.
What bulb does it take?
The Lucidra takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in covered outdoor areas or hallways.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
Yes. The IP44 rating makes the Lucidra suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower/bath enclosure but within the room). It is not rated for installation directly above a bath or inside a shower cubicle.
Is the cable length adjustable?
The cable drop is adjusted during installation by shortening the cable inside the ceiling canopy. Once installed, the drop is fixed. Most installers set the pendant 600-900mm below the ceiling rose depending on the ceiling height and intended position.
