Description

The Lucid is a 485mm pendant light from Ideal Lux built around a clear blown glass shade shaped like a flattened dome, with five white opal glass globes suspended inside on a polished chrome frame. Each globe houses an E27 bulb (sold separately), and the globes are arranged in a circular pattern around a central axis, visible through the transparent outer shade. The outer glass acts as a secondary diffuser, softening the light from the inner globes.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls, the Lucid sits comfortably over surfaces where ambient and decorative light are both needed. The adjustable steel cables allow the pendant to be set at the appropriate height for the ceiling and surface below — typically 700-800mm above a dining table or 600-900mm above a kitchen island. Automatic cable stoppers secure the cables at the chosen height without tools. The 485mm diameter suits tables and islands from 1400mm to 2000mm wide.

The polished chrome frame gives sharp reflections under daylight and pairs with both contemporary and industrial interiors. The combination of clear and opal glass creates layered visual interest — the outer shade appears as a single volume from a distance, but reveals the internal structure of globes and metal when viewed from below.
