Description

The Lucella is a 220mm square LED flush ceiling light with a matt black frame and an integrated 20W LED panel emitting 4000K cool white light. The fitting sits close to the ceiling with minimal projection, making it suitable for rooms with low ceiling heights or where a discrete lighting solution is needed without losing headroom.

Designed for kitchens, bathrooms (IP20 rating limits it to zones 3 and outside bathroom zones), hallways, utility rooms and small commercial spaces, the Lucella provides even, shadow-free illumination across a 2-3m square area. The cool white 4000K colour temperature gives a clinical, task-focused quality of light that works well in spaces where detailed work or grooming takes place. The flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box without needing additional back plates.

The black thermoplastic frame absorbs rather than reflects ceiling light, reducing glare when viewed from below and creating a defined edge around the diffused panel. The 20W integrated LED delivers approximately 1600-1800 lumens depending on age and ambient temperature, comparable to a 100-120W incandescent bulb. The LED is non-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty and is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation.

Is the Lucella dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimmer switches. Connecting it to a dimmer circuit may cause flicker or damage to the driver.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means it carries no moisture protection and is suitable only for bathroom zone 3 (more than 600mm from a bath or shower) and areas outside the defined bathroom zones. It cannot be installed in zones 0, 1 or 2 where water contact is possible.

What size room does it cover?

The 20W output provides even illumination across a 2-3m square area at typical ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m. For larger rooms, multiple units spaced 2.5-3m apart give consistent coverage without shadowing between fittings.

How is the LED replaced when it fails?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. When the LED reaches end-of-life the entire fitting is replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours (roughly 10 years at 8 hours per day) and carries a 5-year warranty against premature failure.
