Description

The Look-1 is a compact crystal flush ceiling light from Ideal Lux with an 85mm square footprint and layered faceted clear crystal blocks surrounding a single G9 halogen or LED bulb. The crystal blocks are cut with multiple facets and stacked in concentric layers, creating a prism effect that refracts light outward and downward when the bulb is lit.

Designed for low-ceiling spaces where pendant or semi-flush fittings would hang too low, the Look-1 sits almost flush to the ceiling with minimal projection, making it suitable for hallways, bedrooms, en-suites and compact living rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m. The crystal acts as both decorative element and diffuser, softening the point-source glare from the G9 bulb while casting patterned reflections onto surrounding surfaces.

The polished chrome ceiling plate measures 85mm in diameter and mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose. The crystal assembly is held by a central metal core that allows the faceted blocks to sit securely without adhesive or external fixings visible from below. The fitting is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and is dimmable when paired with a compatible G9 bulb and dimmer switch, allowing the sparkle intensity to be adjusted for different times of day.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe the crystal blocks gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal components or allowing water to enter the bulb holder.
