Description

The Lightify is a 20cm square wall or flush ceiling light with a matt white enamelled metal frame and a transparent satin acrylic diffuser. It takes a single GX53 bulb (sold separately) and is compatible with dimmer switches, allowing light levels to be adjusted from full brightness down to a low ambient glow.

Designed for dual mounting — either flush to the ceiling or mounted vertically on a wall — the Lightify suits hallways, bathrooms (IP20 rated, zones 3 only), bedrooms and utility rooms where compact overhead or wall-mounted light is needed. The 200mm projection from the wall or ceiling keeps the fitting low-profile, sitting approximately 20cm out from the surface once fitted. The satin acrylic diffuser spreads light evenly across the room, reducing glare and hotspots compared to clear glass or exposed bulb fittings.

The matt white finish on the metal frame integrates with white ceilings and neutral wall colours without creating a visual contrast. The GX53 bulb base is a low-profile format commonly used in compact ceiling lights, and GX53 LED bulbs are widely available in warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool white (4000K-6000K) colour temperatures. The fitting is manufactured by Ideal Lux in Italy and carries a 5-year warranty.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The Lightify carries an IP20 rating, meaning it has no water ingress protection. It can be used in bathrooms only in zone 3 (areas more than 600mm from a basin, shower or bath) or outside the zoned areas entirely. It is not rated for use in zones 0, 1 or 2.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a GX53 bulb up to the maximum wattage specified (check the bulb compartment label on the fitting itself). GX53 bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a GX53 LED bulb between 7-11W for typical room lighting.

Can it be mounted on a wall as well as a ceiling?

Yes. The Lightify is designed for dual mounting and can be fitted either flush to a ceiling or vertically on a wall. The 200mm square format works equally well in either orientation.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the fitting is dimmable when paired with a dimmable GX53 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GX53 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.
