Description
The Lantern is a single pendant light built around an exposed E27 bulb fitting housed in a cylindrical gunmetal grey metal holder, suspended on a black twisted fabric cable. The holder includes an integrated rotary switch on the side, allowing the light to be turned on and off without needing a wall switch or remote control. The 2000mm cable gives flexibility to adjust the drop height during installation.
Designed for use above kitchen islands, dining tables, bedside positions and in hallways where a simple exposed-bulb aesthetic suits the interior, the Lantern works as a single fitting or grouped in multiples at different heights. The 90mm-diameter holder and minimal gunmetal finish pair with industrial, mid-century and contemporary interiors without dominating the space. The exposed bulb design means the choice of bulb — filament LED, globe, clear or amber glass — determines the visual character of the fitting when lit.
The metal holder is finished in a low-sheen gunmetal grey that reads as a warm dark grey under most lighting conditions, softer than matt black. The twisted black fabric cable conceals the electrical core and adds a decorative detail that contrasts with the smooth metal surfaces. At 85mm height and 90mm diameter, the holder itself is compact, so the overall presence of the pendant is determined more by the bulb choice than the metalwork.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Lantern takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. The exposed-bulb design works well with decorative filament LED bulbs, globe bulbs in clear or amber glass, or standard LED bulbs depending on the look required. Maximum wattage is typically 60W for halogen or equivalent LED.
How does the integrated switch work?
A rotary switch is built into the side of the metal lamp holder. Turn it clockwise to switch the light on, anti-clockwise to switch off. This allows the pendant to be controlled without needing a wall switch, which is useful for bedside or reading positions where a wall switch may not be conveniently located.
Can the cable length be adjusted?
The 2000mm cable can be shortened during installation by coiling the excess cable inside the ceiling rose or canopy. The cable cannot be lengthened beyond 2000mm without re-wiring.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the Lantern is for indoor dry-location use only and is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or outdoor covered areas where moisture is present.
