Description

The Kyoto is a 145cm floor lamp built around a cylindrical black marble base, a matt black metal stem, and two dome-shaped glossy white glass shades stacked at the head. An integrated 11W LED inside each shade casts warm 3000K light downward and outward through the glass, creating a balanced pool of ambient light at standing height.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where ambient rather than task light is needed, the Kyoto provides enough light to read by when positioned next to an armchair, but is not bright enough to replace overhead lighting in a large room. The 22cm diameter marble base keeps the lamp stable on bare floors and short-pile rugs without needing to be weighted or tethered. The slim stem takes up minimal floor space, making it suitable for corners and tight alcoves alongside sofas or beds.

The natural black marble base shows white and grey mineral veining that differs between individual pieces, so no two Kyoto lamps are identical at the foot. The marble is smooth-finished but unsealed, so it should be kept away from spills and damp environments. The matt black finish on the metal stem and the chrome divider ring between the two glass shades reduce reflections under daylight, while the glossy white glass provides a clean contrast when lit.
