Description

The Knightsbridge Torlan is a 1828mm (6ft) non-corrosive batten light with switchable power output between 30W (4,750 lumens) and 60W (8,660 lumens), and switchable colour temperature between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, and 5700K daylight. The IP65-rated polycarbonate housing resists corrosion in wet, coastal and industrial environments, while the IK08 impact rating protects against mechanical damage in warehouses, workshops and high-traffic areas.

Designed for commercial, industrial and agricultural installations requiring robust weatherproof lighting, the Torlan suits car parks, loading bays, factory floors, farm buildings, cold stores and external covered walkways. The batten can be surface-mounted directly to ceiling or wall surfaces, or suspension-mounted using accessory kits (sold separately). Internal switches behind the diffuser allow wattage and colour temperature to be set during installation, eliminating the need to stock multiple variants for different applications.

The grey polycarbonate body measures 90mm wide by 90mm deep, giving a low-profile appearance that reduces wind load when mounted externally. The opal diffuser spreads light evenly across a 150-degree beam angle, while stainless steel clips secure the diffuser to the housing without rusting in damp conditions. The integrated SMD LED array delivers up to 164.8 lumens per watt at 4000K in 60W mode, with an L70B50 lifespan of 60,000 hours and a colour rendering index above 85.

The constant-current driver operates on 230V 50Hz mains and is not dimmable. The fitting carries a Class I earthed construction and a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Energy rating C under post-2021 EU regulations.

How do I switch between 30W and 60W output?

Internal DIP switches behind the diffuser allow you to select between 30W and 60W modes during installation. Remove the diffuser by releasing the stainless steel clips, set the switches as shown in the installation manual, then refit the diffuser. The wattage cannot be changed once the fitting is powered on without accessing the switches again.

What colour temperature options are available?

The Torlan offers three selectable colour temperatures via internal switches: 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, and 5700K daylight. Set the colour temperature during installation using the same DIP switch array that controls wattage. At 4000K in 60W mode the fitting delivers 8,660 lumens.

Can it be mounted outdoors?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against water jets and dust ingress, making the batten suitable for covered outdoor areas such as car parks, loading bays, external walkways and farm buildings. The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion in coastal and wet environments, and the IK08 impact rating protects against mechanical damage.

What mounting options are available?

The batten can be surface-mounted directly to ceilings or walls using the pre-drilled mounting points in the housing. Suspension mounting requires accessory kits sold separately. The low-profile 90mm x 90mm cross-section reduces wind load when mounted externally.
