Description
The Knightsbridge 6ft 48W DALI CCT Adjustable LED Batten is a 1790mm linear ceiling-mounted fitting built from pressed steel and polycarbonate with an integrated 48W LED module behind an opal diffuser. The CCT adjustment allows the colour temperature to be switched between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, and 5700K cool daylight on installation, without needing to change the fitting or control system.
Designed for commercial, industrial and institutional spaces requiring DALI-compatible lighting control, the batten integrates into both simple room-level and networked building management systems. The DALI driver supports dimming and scene control via standard DALI protocols, while the hinged gear tray and push-fit loop-in-loop-out terminals allow for single-step installation without needing to pre-wire separate junction boxes. Rear and end conduit fixing points match the footprint of traditional T8 fluorescent battens, making this a direct replacement for existing fixtures.
The opal polycarbonate diffuser spreads the light output evenly along the 1790mm length, producing 6050lm at 3000K, 7040lm at 4000K, and 6580lm at 5700K from a single 48W input. The 161lm/W efficacy sits above most competing LED battens in this category, reducing running costs in installations with extended operating hours. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments — workshops, warehouses, offices, corridors, plant rooms and back-of-house areas where moisture and dust ingress are minimal.

Frequently Asked
What is DALI control and do I need it?
DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a two-wire control protocol that allows individual fittings to be dimmed, grouped into scenes, and controlled remotely via a building management system or simple wall-mounted DALI controller. You need DALI if you require dimming, scene control, or integration into a networked lighting system. If you just need a basic on/off fitting, choose a non-DALI version.
How is the CCT changed?
The colour temperature is switched via a physical switch on the driver inside the fitting during installation, before the cover is closed. Once installed, the CCT is fixed until the fitting is accessed again. It does not change automatically or via remote control.
Can this replace a traditional T8 fluorescent batten?
Yes. The rear and end conduit fixing points match standard T8 batten mounting centres, and the 1790mm length is the same as a 6ft fluorescent fitting. The loop-in-loop-out wiring allows the batten to be wired into an existing lighting circuit without separate junction boxes.
What does the L70B50 rating mean?
L70B50 of 60,000 hours means that after 60,000 operating hours, at least 50% of a batch of these fittings will still produce 70% or more of their original light output. At 12 hours per day, that equates to approximately 13.7 years before noticeable light depreciation.
