Description

The Knightsbridge 5ft LED batten light delivers 5925 lumens of 4000K cool white light from an integrated 55W LED array housed in a pressed steel body with an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The 1525mm-long fitting is designed as a direct replacement for conventional fluorescent tube battens, offering the same mounting centres (600mm) and BESA box compatibility while eliminating tube replacement and ballast maintenance.

Designed for garages, workshops, storage rooms, utility areas, commercial corridors and retail back-of-house spaces, the batten mounts directly to ceilings or walls using rear and end conduit fixing points. The hinged gear tray opens for access to push-fit loop-in loop-out terminals, allowing multiple battens to be daisy-chained on a single circuit without junction boxes. The opal diffuser spreads light evenly across the 135-degree beam angle, reducing harsh shadows and glare on work surfaces.

The pressed steel body and polycarbonate diffuser combine for an IP20 rating suitable for dry internal environments. At 55W and 5925lm output, the batten achieves 147.49 lumens per watt efficacy, significantly higher than the fluorescent tubes it replaces.
