Description
The Knightsbridge SL30CCTB is a 30W triple-head LED security floodlight with a built-in PIR motion sensor and switchable colour temperature between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, and 5500K daylight. The three independently adjustable lamp heads deliver 2,675 lumens across a combined coverage area, with each head offering 70° beam angle and 180° rotation plus 270° tilt for precise aiming.
Designed for driveways, gardens, building perimeters and side passages, the floodlight mounts to external walls via a simple bracket and connects to mains power (110-230V). The integrated PIR sensor detects motion up to 8 metres away across a 90° detection zone, with adjustable sensitivity, lux threshold and time duration dials on the rear of the unit. A manual override switch forces the light into an always-on state, useful during events or when continuous illumination is required regardless of motion.
The IP65-rated polycarbonate housing protects the internal circuitry and SMD2835 LEDs from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for permanent outdoor installation in UK weather conditions. The black powder-coated finish resists UV degradation and corrosion. The three lamp heads rotate independently on a shared bracket that itself rotates 350° on the wall mount, allowing precise control over where light is directed without repositioning the entire fitting.
Knightsbridge backs the SL30CCTB with a 5-year warranty. The integrated LEDs are rated for 54,000 hours to L70B50 (the point at which 50% of units will have degraded to 70% of initial output), translating to approximately 15 years of typical security lighting use at 10 hours per night.

Frequently Asked
How do I change the colour temperature?
A switch on the rear of the PIR sensor body cycles between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, and 5500K daylight. Set it before final installation or access it later by angling the PIR body downward to reveal the rear panel.
What's the detection range and how is it adjusted?
The PIR detects motion up to 8 metres away across a 90° horizontal field. Three adjustment dials on the rear control sensitivity (how much movement triggers activation), lux threshold (daylight cutoff to prevent daytime triggering), and time duration (how long the light stays on after detecting motion, typically 10 seconds to 12 minutes).
Can the light be left on continuously?
Yes. A manual override switch forces the floodlight into an always-on state, bypassing the PIR sensor. This is useful during garden events, building work, or when continuous illumination is required regardless of motion.
Is it suitable for coastal or high-moisture environments?
The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for most UK outdoor environments including coastal areas. The polycarbonate housing resists UV degradation and salt corrosion better than metal housings. For extreme marine environments, periodic inspection of the cable entry gland is recommended.
