Description

The Kinsale-2 is a traditional six-sided outdoor wall lantern cast in black polymer with clear polycarbonate glazing panels and a single E27 bulb fitting. The polymer construction makes it corrosion-proof and impact-resistant, designed to withstand coastal salt air, UV exposure and wet conditions that would damage metal lanterns over time. The IP44 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for porch entrances, garage side walls and garden walkways, the Kinsale-2 mounts on a curved bracket that holds the lantern body 270mm out from the wall, allowing light to spread both downward and sideways. The clear polycarbonate panels allow maximum light transmission while protecting the bulb from direct weather contact. At 460mm height the lantern sits comfortably at doorway scale without overwhelming typical residential facades.

The moulded polymer body replicates the panelled profile and finial detail of traditional cast aluminium coach lanterns, but without the weight or corrosion risk. The black finish is UV-stable and moulded through the material rather than surface-applied, so scuffs and scratches remain black rather than revealing a different colour underneath. The fitting accepts any standard E27 LED, CFL or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), with most users choosing a warm-white LED between 6W and 10W to replicate traditional porch lighting.
