Description

The ESP IP Camera Deep Base is a 146mm diameter white metal housing designed to conceal cabling and provide a mounting surface for bullet and dome security cameras. The 59mm depth accommodates cable runs and connections behind the camera, keeping them protected from weather and tampering. An IP66 rating makes the base suitable for outdoor installation, resisting rain, dust and direct water jets.

Designed for use with ESP's REKIPC and HDVIPC camera ranges (including REKIPC36FBW, REKIPC36FDW, HDVIPC36FBW, HDVIPC28FDW2, HDVIPC2812VFBW, HDVIPC2812VFDW), the base mounts to walls, soffits and ceilings where running cables internally is not practical or where a cleaner finish is needed than surface-run conduit. The supplied G3/4 cable gland accepts standard outdoor-rated network and power cables, with the threaded entry sealing against moisture ingress.

The metal construction provides rigidity and durability compared to plastic bases, maintaining its shape under wind load and temperature fluctuation. The white powder-coated finish matches most CCTV cameras in white housings and blends into painted masonry, render and uPVC soffits. Four mounting holes on the base plate allow secure fixing to the wall before the camera is attached to the exposed mounting surface.

Frequently Asked

Which cameras is this base compatible with?

The base is designed for ESP's REKIPC and HDVIPC camera ranges, including models REKIPC36FBW, REKIPC36FDW, HDVIPC36FBW, HDVIPC28FDW2, HDVIPC2812VFBW and HDVIPC2812VFDW. Compatibility with other camera models depends on the camera's base mounting pattern and should be checked before ordering.

What cable gland is supplied?

A G3/4 threaded cable gland is included with the base. This accepts standard outdoor-rated network and power cables and seals against moisture ingress when tightened.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. The IP66 rating confirms protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making the base suitable for outdoor wall, soffit and ceiling mounting in exposed positions.

How is the base fixed to the wall?

Four mounting holes on the rear plate allow fixing to the wall using appropriate screws and plugs for the substrate (masonry, render, timber). The camera is then attached to the front mounting surface after cables are run through the gland.
