Description

The ESP IPCDBGAV is a grey metal deep base for IP anti-vandal dome cameras, designed to surface-mount camera housings where the wall or soffit lacks the depth to recess the cable connections. The base provides a 59mm-deep cavity for routing and terminating network cables before they enter the camera housing, with a threaded G3/4 cable gland included to seal the cable entry point.

Designed for outdoor CCTV installations where the camera mounting surface is brick, masonry, render or external cladding, the deep base raises the camera housing 59mm from the wall and hides the cable run inside the base itself. The IP66 rating protects cable terminations from rain, dust and wind-driven moisture. The grey metal finish matches ESP's grey anti-vandal camera housings including the HDVIPC2812VFDGAV model.

The base is 146mm in diameter at the mounting flange and 150mm at the widest point of the body, weighing 0.4kg. Four internal mounting posts accept the camera housing fixings, allowing the dome to be secured without additional brackets. The cable gland accepts network cables up to approximately 8mm outer diameter, typical for Cat5e and Cat6 external-rated cable.

Frequently Asked

Which cameras is this base compatible with?

The base is designed for ESP anti-vandal IP dome cameras, specifically the HDVIPC2812VFDGAV model. The four internal mounting posts match the standard ESP anti-vandal housing fixing pattern. Check the camera datasheet to confirm compatibility before ordering.

What cable size does the gland accept?

The supplied G3/4 cable gland accepts network cables up to approximately 8mm outer diameter, which covers standard Cat5e and Cat6 external-rated cables used in IP CCTV installations.

Can this be used indoors?

Yes. The IP66 rating makes it suitable for both outdoor and indoor installation. Indoors it may be used where the mounting surface lacks depth to recess the camera connections, or where a neater finish is needed by hiding the cable run inside the base.

How is it fixed to the wall?

The base has four fixing holes around the mounting flange for screws or bolts. On masonry or brick, use wall plugs and screws appropriate to the substrate. The cable enters through the gland aperture at the side of the base before terminating inside the cavity.
