Description

The Illusis is a 270mm semi-flush ceiling light with five G9 bulb fittings housed within a polished chrome circular canopy, from which multiple transparent glass spheres hang on fine nylon threads at varying heights. The glass bubbles create a cascading effect below the canopy, with light refracting through the spheres when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a traditional chandelier would hang too low, the semi-flush mounting sits 100-150mm below the ceiling line, making it suitable for bedrooms, dining nooks, hallways and smaller living spaces. The 270mm canopy diameter works in rooms of 8-12m², providing decorative overhead light without dominating the ceiling plane. The five G9 fittings accept standard halogen or LED G9 capsules (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch.

The polished chrome canopy reflects ambient light from windows and other sources during the day, while the glass spheres catch and scatter direct light when the fitting is switched on. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. The glass bubbles vary slightly in size and positioning depending on how the nylon threads settle after installation, giving each Illusis a subtly different configuration once hung.
