Description

The Illusis is a 630mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a circular white metal canopy that mounts close to the ceiling, with twelve G9 bulb fittings distributed across the surface. From each fitting, nylon threads suspend glass spheres in a cascading arrangement, mixing frosted white and clear transparent glass elements that catch and diffuse light from the bulbs above.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.8m where a traditional chandelier drop would be too long, the semi-flush mount projects approximately 250-300mm from the ceiling once fitted. The twelve G9 bulbs (sold separately) provide combined illumination suitable for living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls between 15-25m². The fixture is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer, allowing output to be adjusted for ambient or task lighting.

The matt white powder-coated metal canopy and arms provide the structural frame, while the glass spheres introduce texture and light refraction across the lower portion of the fixture. Each sphere is suspended on an individual nylon thread, giving the glass elements slight movement when air circulates in the room. The mix of frosted and clear glass creates layered light output — the frosted spheres diffuse a soft glow, while the clear glass reflects sharper highlights.

Supplied by Ideal Lux with a 5-year warranty, the Illusis fits standard UK ceiling roses and wiring. The IP20 rating restricts installation to dry indoor environments only — it cannot be used in bathrooms, covered outdoor areas or any location subject to moisture.
