Description
The Ignis is a 15W LED track spotlight built from extruded aluminium with a black powder-coated finish, designed to clip onto standard three-phase track systems. The spotlight head rotates 350° on the horizontal plane and tilts 90° on the vertical, allowing the beam to be directed at displays, products, artwork or architectural features from almost any angle.
Intended for retail, gallery, museum and commercial settings where neutral white light is needed to show products or materials accurately, the Ignis produces 4000K colour temperature light with a CRI80 rating. The 4000K output sits between warm white (3000K) and daylight white (5000K), providing clarity without the coolness of higher colour temperatures. CRI80 colour rendering means most colours appear true under the beam, though for critical colour-matching work (printing, textile, high-end fashion retail) a CRI90+ fitting may be preferable.
The 116mm height and 60mm projection from track make the Ignis compact enough to install on low ceilings without the fitting dominating the space. The black finish recedes against dark ceilings and is less visually intrusive than polished metal when multiple spotlights are installed on the same track run. The extruded aluminium body acts as a passive heatsink for the integrated LED, which is rated for a typical 30,000-hour lifespan at standard operating temperatures.

Frequently Asked
Is the Ignis dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. For installations requiring dimming control, consider a track spotlight with DALI or phase-cut dimming capability.
What track system does it fit?
The Ignis clips onto standard three-phase track systems. Three-phase track has three internal conductors allowing different circuits to be run on the same physical track, which is common in retail and gallery installations. It is not compatible with single-circuit or two-circuit track without an adapter.
What is CRI80 and is it sufficient for retail?
CRI80 means the LED renders 80% of colours accurately compared to natural daylight. For general product display, signage and most retail applications this is adequate. For critical colour work such as fashion retail, art galleries requiring archival-standard lighting, or textile showrooms, CRI90+ fittings provide closer colour fidelity.
Can the spotlight head be repositioned after installation?
Yes. The 350° rotation and 90° tilt adjustment can be changed at any time by hand without tools, allowing the beam direction to be altered as displays or layouts change.
