The HDview IP 8MP dome camera is a fixed-lens security camera delivering 3840 x 2160 resolution from a 1/2.8-inch image sensor, mounted in a white IP67-rated housing. The 2.8mm lens provides a 115-degree diagonal viewing angle, covering a typical single-room width or front-door approach at close to medium range. The camera combines white LED and infrared illumination for up to 30 metres of night vision, and supports Power over Ethernet for single-cable installation.

Designed for residential and small commercial installation on exterior walls, soffits or interior ceiling mounts, the dome form factor suits applications where the camera is visible but not aggressively prominent. The IP67 housing protects the camera from rain, dust and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for outdoor mounting in exposed positions. The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way audio communication through compatible NVR or app interfaces, useful for gate entry monitoring or delivery verification.

The camera supports on-board recording to a microSD card up to 128GB capacity, allowing continuous or event-triggered recording without requiring a network video recorder for basic applications. What network infrastructure is needed?

The camera requires a PoE switch or injector providing power and data over a single Ethernet cable. It can record to an on-board microSD card up to 128GB without an NVR, or connect to a network video recorder for centralised multi-camera management.

What's the night vision range?

The combined white LED and infrared illumination provides up to 30 metres of night vision range in complete darkness. The white LED mode is visible and acts as a deterrent, while the IR mode operates covertly.
