Description

The HDview HC864R64TB is a 64-channel IP network video recorder supporting up to 8MP resolution per channel, with 64TB of pre-installed surveillance-grade hard drive storage. The NVR records in H.265 compression format, reducing file sizes by approximately 50% compared to H.264 while maintaining the same visual quality, which allows longer retention periods within the 64TB capacity.

Designed for commercial, industrial and multi-site residential installations requiring continuous 24/7 recording from a large camera count, the NVR handles simultaneous playback, live recording and remote viewing without dropping frames on any channel. Two uplink ports allow network redundancy or segmented camera networks to feed into the same recorder. The HDMI output delivers up to 4K resolution for live monitoring on large control room displays, and the front-panel USB ports enable quick evidence transfer to external drives without network dependency.

Intelligent video analytics built into the NVR include line cross detection (virtual tripwire alerts when a person or vehicle crosses a defined boundary) and perimeter intrusion detection (alerts when movement occurs within a defined zone). These features reduce the need to review hours of footage manually by flagging specific events. Recording modes include continuous, scheduled, motion-triggered and intelligent-triggered, allowing different channels to operate under different rules depending on site requirements. Remote monitoring operates through the HDview mobile app on iOS and Android, with live view and playback accessible over 4G/5G or Wi-Fi from outside the local network.

The recorder supports IP cameras over standard Cat5e/Cat6 cabling up to 250m per channel when using PoE switches or injectors. The unit dimensions of 573mm wide, 563mm deep and 202mm high mean it fits 2U rack spaces in standard 19-inch server racks, although the depth requires checking available rack clearance before installation. At 8.4kg net weight the NVR benefits from secure rack mounting rather than shelf placement in high-traffic environments.

Frequently Asked

What resolution cameras does this NVR support?

The NVR supports IP cameras up to 8MP (4K) resolution per channel. Lower resolution cameras (2MP, 4MP, 5MP) are also compatible and can be mixed across the 64 channels depending on site requirements.

How long does 64TB record for with 64 cameras?

Recording duration depends on camera resolution, frame rate and H.265 compression efficiency. As a rough guide, 64TB can store approximately 30-45 days of continuous recording from 64 x 4MP cameras at 15fps with H.265 compression, or 15-25 days from 64 x 8MP cameras at the same frame rate. Motion-triggered recording extends this significantly.

Can I access footage remotely?

Yes. The HDview mobile app for iOS and Android provides remote live view and playback over 4G/5G or Wi-Fi. The NVR must be connected to a router with internet access and port forwarding or cloud relay configured according to the manual.

Does it fit a standard server rack?

The NVR occupies 2U height in a 19-inch rack, but the 563mm depth requires checking your rack's available clearance. Many wall-mount racks only offer 450-500mm usable depth, which would not accommodate this unit without front or rear overhang.
