Description

The HDview 5MP outdoor PTZ IP camera combines a 1/2.5" image sensor with an 18x optical zoom lens (4.8-86.4mm varifocal), full pan-tilt-zoom control and 60m infrared LED illumination in an IP66-rated weatherproof housing. The camera captures 5-megapixel resolution video and compresses it using H.265 encoding to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements without sacrificing image quality.

Designed for perimeter monitoring, car parks, loading bays and large outdoor areas requiring remote directional control, the camera provides 360° continuous pan rotation, allowing it to cover a full circle from a single mounting point. The 18x zoom spans from wide-angle surveillance (61.2° viewing angle at 4.8mm) down to long-range identification (2.32° at 86.4mm), giving operators the ability to zoom into distant activity and then pull back to resume area monitoring.

The IP66 housing protects the camera against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK weather conditions. The 60m infrared range provides night vision without requiring additional lighting, and the IR LEDs activate automatically when ambient light falls below a set threshold. The camera is ONVIF compliant, meaning it integrates with third-party NVRs and VMS platforms from multiple manufacturers.

Power is supplied either via the included PSU or through a PoE injector (not included), allowing single-cable installation where both data and power run over the same Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable. The camera weighs 2.93kg and requires secure wall or ceiling mounting using the included bracket.

Frequently Asked

What's the infrared range and does it activate automatically?

The camera provides 60m infrared LED illumination for night vision. The IR LEDs activate automatically when ambient light drops below a threshold, switching the camera into monochrome night mode. In daylight the camera captures colour video.

Can it be powered over Ethernet?

Yes. The camera accepts power via a PoE injector (not included), allowing both data and power to run over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. Alternatively, it can be powered using the supplied PSU with a separate power cable run.

Is it compatible with non-ESP NVRs?

Yes. The camera is ONVIF compliant, meaning it integrates with third-party network video recorders and video management software from multiple manufacturers. Check your NVR documentation to confirm ONVIF support before purchase.

What viewing angle does the zoom cover?

At the widest setting (4.8mm) the viewing angle is 61.2°, suitable for monitoring large open areas. At maximum zoom (86.4mm) the angle narrows to 2.32°, allowing operators to zoom into distant details for identification or forensic review.
