Description

The HDview 5MP anti-vandal dome camera combines a 5-megapixel image sensor with a motorised 2.8-12mm varifocal lens, allowing remote adjustment of the field of view from 103° wide-angle down to 51° telephoto without opening the housing. The 1/2.7" sensor captures detail at 2592 × 1944 resolution, and H.265 compression reduces bandwidth and storage requirements compared to older H.264 codecs.

Designed for outdoor installation in commercial, industrial and residential settings, the camera carries IP66 ingress protection against dust and water jets, and IK10 impact resistance to withstand vandalism or accidental strikes. The infrared array provides illumination out to 45m in total darkness, with automatic day/night switching. Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) allows a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable to carry both data and power to the camera.

The grey metal housing measures 180mm diameter × 150mm height and weighs 1.275kg before mounting. The camera supports ONVIF Profile S for compatibility with third-party NVR systems, and includes SD card storage for local recording, alarm trigger inputs and outputs, two-way audio via a built-in microphone and speaker connection, and a reset button accessed behind the dome cover. The motorised lens adjustment is controlled via the camera's web interface or compatible NVR software.

Frequently Asked

How is the varifocal lens adjusted?

The 2.8-12mm lens is motorised and adjusted remotely via the camera's web interface or through compatible NVR software. There is no need to open the housing to change the field of view once the camera is installed.

Does it support PoE?

Yes. The camera accepts IEEE 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet, allowing a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable to carry both network data and power. A PoE switch or injector is required.

What is IK10 impact protection?

IK10 is the highest rating on the IK impact scale, meaning the housing can withstand a 5kg mass dropped from 400mm — equivalent to 20 joules of impact energy. This makes it suitable for vandal-prone locations or areas where accidental strikes may occur.

Is local recording supported?

Yes. The camera includes an SD card slot for local recording when the network connection is lost or as a backup to NVR storage. Maximum supported card capacity is typically 128GB — check the manual for confirmation.
