Description

The HDview 4MP AHD bullet camera combines a 4-megapixel AHD sensor with a 3.6mm fixed lens, delivering 76° horizontal viewing angle coverage. Built-in infrared LEDs provide up to 25m night vision range in zero-light conditions, while the IP66-rated metal housing protects the camera from rain, dust and outdoor temperature extremes.

Designed for residential and commercial CCTV installations, the camera suits driveways, building entrances, car parks and perimeter monitoring where a wide-angle fixed view is needed. The 3-axis cable management bracket allows pan, tilt and rotation adjustment during installation, making it straightforward to align the camera to the required field of view once mounted. The AHD output connects to compatible DVRs via standard coaxial cable, supporting runs up to 500m without signal degradation.

The 4MP sensor captures more detail than standard 2MP 1080p cameras, making number plate recognition and facial identification easier at distances of 5-10m. D-WDR (Digital Wide Dynamic Range) with ATR (Adaptive Tone Reproduction) balances exposure in scenes with mixed lighting — such as a bright doorway against a dark interior — preventing areas from washing out or sinking into shadow. The 2D and 3D noise reduction algorithms clean up low-light footage without introducing blur, keeping motion sharp even under infrared illumination.

The white metal housing measures 183mm in length and 86mm in diameter, with a projection of approximately 105mm from the wall once the bracket is fitted. The camera weighs 390g and requires a 12V DC power supply (sold separately). High light compensation prevents overexposure from vehicle headlights or direct sunlight hitting the lens, while exposure control adjusts automatically to changing ambient light levels throughout the day.

Frequently Asked

What type of DVR does this camera require?

The HDview uses AHD output, so it requires an AHD-compatible DVR. It connects via standard coaxial cable and supports cable runs up to 500m without signal loss. Check your DVR specifications to confirm AHD compatibility before purchasing.

What's the night vision range?

The built-in infrared LEDs provide up to 25m range in complete darkness. Performance depends on the reflectivity of surfaces in the scene — lighter walls and paving reflect more infrared and extend effective range.

Is a power supply included?

No. The camera requires a 12V DC power supply, sold separately. Most installers use a centralised 12V PSU to power multiple cameras from a single location.

Can the viewing angle be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The 3-axis bracket allows pan, tilt and rotation adjustment, so the camera can be re-aimed without dismounting it from the wall or ceiling. The 3.6mm lens itself is fixed-focus and cannot be zoomed.
