Description

The HDview 4MP AHD bullet camera houses a 4-megapixel analogue high-definition sensor behind a 3.6mm fixed lens, delivering a 76° viewing angle suitable for monitoring driveways, building entrances and small outdoor areas up to 8-10 metres wide. The camera outputs AHD signal over coaxial cable to a compatible DVR, requiring a single coax run for both video and power (when using a 12V DC power supply at the camera end).

Built for outdoor installation, the camera carries an IP66 weatherproof rating and uses a metal bullet housing that resists impact and UV degradation better than plastic equivalents. A 3-axis bracket allows the camera body to tilt and rotate once wall-mounted, with cable routing through the bracket arm to keep wiring concealed. Infrared LEDs built into the front bezel provide up to 25m night vision in complete darkness, automatically switching on when ambient light drops below a threshold.

The 4MP sensor incorporates digital wide dynamic range (D-WDR) and adaptive tone reproduction (ATR) to balance exposure when bright backlight (windows, vehicle headlights) appears in the same frame as darker foreground subjects. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional noise reduction algorithms reduce grain in low-light recordings, keeping file sizes lower without losing detail. High light compensation prevents overexposure from direct light sources pointing at the lens.

The grey finish on the camera body is less conspicuous than white or black against rendered or painted building facades in neutral tones. The camera measures 183mm long by 86mm wide, projecting approximately 105mm from the wall once bracket-mounted. At 390g net weight the camera mounts securely to brick, block or timber using the supplied bracket fixings.

What recorder does this camera work with?

The camera outputs 4MP AHD signal over coaxial cable and requires a DVR that supports 4MP AHD input. It will not work with IP NVR systems or older analogue DVRs rated below 4MP. Check your DVR specification before purchase.

How far can the infrared night vision see?

The built-in infrared LEDs provide visibility up to 25 metres in complete darkness. Actual range depends on scene reflectivity — lighter surfaces (render, concrete) reflect more IR than dark brick or tarmac.

Can the camera be mounted indoors?

Yes. The IP66 weatherproof rating means the camera is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. Indoors the metal housing provides impact resistance in areas where plastic cameras might be damaged.

What power supply is needed?

The camera requires a 12V DC power supply. Power is not supplied over the coaxial cable — a separate power cable must be run to the camera location or a local 12V adapter used near the mounting point.
