Description

The HDview 4MP 8-channel CCTV kit pairs four weatherproof bullet cameras with an 8-channel DVR pre-installed with a 1TB surveillance-grade hard drive. Each camera captures 4-megapixel resolution footage with infrared night vision effective to 25 metres, and the system supports adding up to four more cameras to fill the remaining channels. The DVR records continuously, on schedule, or triggered by motion detection, with footage accessible via HDMI or VGA monitor output.

Designed for residential and small commercial installations covering driveways, gardens, car parks and building perimeters, the kit includes all necessary cabling and a centralised power supply unit. Remote monitoring works through the HDview app for Android and iOS, or via PC using the included CMS software over a wired network connection or PowerLine adapter. The DVR's mouse-driven interface allows playback and system configuration without a keyboard, and USB backup enables quick evidence transfer to external drives.

The four bullet cameras carry IP66 weatherproof rating for outdoor mounting in rain, snow and dust. Each camera uses a fixed 3.6mm lens giving a wide-angle field of view suitable for monitoring entry points, pathways and open areas rather than long-distance detail capture. The grey finish on the camera housings and DVR casing sits neutrally against most building exteriors without drawing attention. The DVR operates silently without cooling fans, making it suitable for installation in offices, bedrooms and retail back rooms where noise would be disruptive.

The 1TB pre-installed hard drive provides approximately 10-14 days of continuous recording from four cameras at 4MP resolution, with longer retention possible when using motion-triggered or scheduled recording modes. The system can be expanded to 2TB, 4TB or 8TB hard drives if longer storage is required. All four cameras connect via coaxial cable (included in the kit) to the DVR, with a single 12V power supply feeding the entire system from one mains socket.
