Description

The HDview SHDV4R is a 4-channel digital video recorder capable of recording up to four cameras at 4MP resolution, with a 1TB surveillance-grade hard drive pre-installed. The DVR supports continuous, scheduled and motion-triggered recording modes, storing footage locally on the internal drive with USB backup capability for evidence transfer.

Designed for small residential and commercial CCTV installations needing 1-4 camera coverage, the DVR connects to monitors via HDMI or VGA outputs and provides remote viewing through the ESP HDview mobile app or included CMS software for PC. The unit operates silently without fan noise, making it suitable for installation in offices, retail back rooms, small warehouses and residential utility cupboards where recorder noise would be intrusive.

The recorder features RS485 control for PTZ cameras, allowing pan-tilt-zoom operation through the same interface used for fixed cameras. The mouse-driven user interface runs on-screen through the connected monitor, with no front-panel controls needed for daily operation. Remote monitoring works over wired network connections or through PowerLine adapters where running ethernet cables is impractical. The 1TB drive capacity stores approximately 7-10 days of continuous 4MP footage from four cameras, depending on scene complexity and motion levels.

The DVR measures 370mm x 240mm x 45mm (approx) and weighs 2.15kg net. The unit ships with a 12V power supply, mouse, product manual and CMS software disc. Additional hard drive capacities of 500GB, 2TB, 4TB and 8TB are available under different SKUs in the SHDV4R range.
