Description

The Harper is a 456mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a drum of opal etched glass, wrapped in a heritage brass frame with curved arms and cylindrical decorative knobs at the tension points. Three E27 bulbs inside the glass drum (sold separately) provide general ambient lighting, with the opal etching diffusing the light output evenly across the ceiling and downwards into the room.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m, the Harper sits 253mm below the ceiling rose, giving enough clearance for comfortable room circulation while maintaining a substantial presence. The semi-flush format works in rooms where a full pendant would hang too low but a flush mount would feel visually too flat. The heritage brass finish carries a warm antique tone that pairs with traditional, mid-century and warmer contemporary interiors.

The metal cage structure divides the glass drum into thirds visually, creating a segmented appearance when unlit and a glowing layered effect when the bulbs are on. The decorative knobs at each joint between the curved arms and the horizontal bands add a mechanical detail that references industrial and Art Deco lighting without fully committing to either style. The opal glass itself is etched rather than plain, giving a finer grain to the diffusion and reducing glare when viewed from below.
