Description

The Kichler Halleron is a 305mm diameter flush ceiling light housing three E14 bulbs behind a seeded glass dome, enclosed by a curved metal cage in a burnished bronze finish. The fitting mounts directly to the ceiling with a 229mm total drop, making it suitable for covered outdoor spaces with limited ceiling height such as porches, patio overhangs and entrance canopies. IP44 rated for protection against splashing water from any direction.

Designed for exterior installation under covered areas, the Halleron provides downward ambient light filtered through seeded glass that softens the appearance of exposed filament bulbs while maintaining visibility of the light source itself. The three-bulb configuration distributes light across a 2-3m square coverage area when fitted with standard 40W candle bulbs. The flush-mount design sits close to the ceiling, avoiding head height issues in doorways and low porch ceilings typical of period properties.

The burnished bronze finish is a semi-matt surface treatment applied over steel, giving a darker, aged appearance compared to polished or antique brass. The decorative dentil moulding on the ceiling rose and the ribbed cage surrounding the glass dome reference Victorian-era street lighting and carriage lamps. The seeded glass itself contains small bubbles and textural variations that diffuse light without fully obscuring the bulbs, contributing to the period aesthetic when paired with warm-white filament-style LED candles.

The metal frame and glass assembly are sealed at the join points to achieve the IP44 rating, which protects internal wiring from rain splash and moisture ingress in sheltered outdoor positions. The fitting is not rated for fully exposed locations subject to direct rainfall or high-pressure washing. Bulbs are sold separately and can be standard E14 candles, LED filament candles, or flame-effect candles depending on the desired light quality.
