Description
The Gloss is an outdoor LED wall light with a graphite aluminium body, white matte acrylic diffuser and an integrated 7W LED running at 3000K. The fitting carries an IP65 rating, protecting the LED module and internal wiring from dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, making it suitable for exposed exterior walls, covered porches and open patios.
Designed for exterior wall mounting on pathways, entrance areas, garage doors and garden walls, the Gloss provides downward and forward illumination in a wedge-shaped beam. The 161mm x 99mm footprint suits standard UK brick and render walls, and the fitting sits 184mm tall once installed. The white acrylic diffuser softens the LED output and reduces glare when viewed directly from the side. A transparent plastic plate sits over the diffuser, allowing house numbers or custom markings to be applied if needed.
The graphite finish is a low-sheen charcoal tone that pairs with grey render, dark brick, black fascias and contemporary cladding without creating high contrast. The aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and wet climates better than mild steel alternatives. The 7W LED runs on mains voltage (AC 100-260V) and draws minimal power compared to halogen or incandescent equivalents, while the 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light comparable to traditional tungsten bulbs.

Frequently Asked
What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?
IP65 means the fitting is fully dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes the Gloss suitable for exposed exterior walls, covered porches and open patios. It is not submersible and should not be installed where it will be directly submerged or face high-pressure hosing.
Can the LED be replaced?
The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to around 10-15 years of typical evening use. If the LED fails within the warranty period, contact Maytoni or Niori for replacement options.
How is the house number plate used?
A transparent plastic plate sits over the white acrylic diffuser. You can apply vinyl numbers, etched markings or adhesive characters to this plate to display house numbers or custom text. The plate is removable for cleaning or replacement.
What colour is the light output?
The integrated LED runs at 3000K, which produces a warm white light comparable to traditional tungsten bulbs. This is warmer than daylight-white LEDs (4000K+) and suits residential exteriors where a welcoming tone is preferred over clinical brightness.
