Description

The Glistis is a white LED table lamp built around two concentric circular diffusers in opal rubber, set vertically on a white powder-coated metal base. An integrated 23W LED inside the rings casts 3000K warm white light through the rubber, turning the circles themselves into the light source rather than directing a beam outward.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables in living rooms, and desks where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Glistis provides soft fill light across a radius of 2-3 metres without creating hard shadows or glare. The 280mm height and 80mm base depth give it a compact footprint that fits tables as narrow as 400mm wide. The 2.1m cable allows placement away from wall sockets, and the IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor use only.

The powder-coated metal base holds the two rings in a fixed vertical orientation, so the lamp cannot be angled or adjusted once positioned. The opal rubber diffusers soften the LED output to a uniform glow with no visible hot spots or individual diodes, making the lamp comfortable to look at directly when seated nearby. The white finish pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors and does not yellow or discolour under sustained LED heat as some plastics can.

No. The integrated 23W LED runs at full output when switched on and cannot be dimmed with external dimmer switches or controllers.

What type of light does it provide?

The Glistis provides ambient fill light rather than directed task light. The two opal rubber rings diffuse the LED across 360 degrees horizontally, making it suitable for general room lighting but not for reading or close work where concentrated light is needed.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the lamp has no protection against moisture and must only be used in dry indoor rooms. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any environment where water splashes may occur.

How is the lamp cleaned?

Wipe the powder-coated metal base and opal rubber diffusers with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks on the rubber, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but allow the lamp to dry fully before switching it back on. Do not use chemical cleaners or abrasive pads on the diffusers as they may cloud the rubber.
