The Gleonis is a 30cm flush ceiling light with a matt white painted metal frame supporting a spherical polycarbonate diffuser treated with a paper-effect coating. The diffuser houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and sits flush against the ceiling on a low-profile mounting plate, providing general ambient light without projecting into headroom.

Designed for hallways, compact bedrooms, bathrooms (where the IP20 rating permits), utility rooms and smaller living spaces where ceiling clearance is limited, the Gleonis pairs minimalist form with practical function. The 30cm diameter suits ceilings between 2.4-3m in rooms up to 10m² for primary lighting, or can be used as secondary lighting in larger spaces. The flush-mount design means no drop, making it compatible with low ceilings and attic conversions where pendant lights would hang too low.

The paper-effect coating on the polycarbonate diffuser softens the light output from the E27 bulb, reducing glare and creating even diffusion across the surface of the sphere. This gives a gentler ambient effect than clear glass globes, which can create harsh shadows when fitted with visible-filament LED bulbs. The matt white metal frame blends into white or light-painted ceilings and pairs cleanly with modern, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible E27 LED bulb and a trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer on the circuit.

The Gleonis takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users fit a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for general ambient lighting. The paper-effect diffuser works well with both classic A-shape LED bulbs and visible-filament styles.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before fitting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means it is not protected against moisture ingress. In a bathroom it must be installed outside zones 0, 1 and 2 — typically on the ceiling more than 600mm horizontally from the edge of a bath or shower tray, where no direct water spray can reach it.

How is the diffuser cleaned?

Switch off the circuit at the consumer unit before cleaning. The diffuser can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the polycarbonate and do not use chemical sprays or abrasive cleaners.
