The Glacia is a 150mm diameter ceiling rose in matt black metal, designed to support up to eight pendant light cables through a single ceiling fixing point. The rose uses a magnetic attachment system rather than traditional screw terminals, allowing individual pendant cables to click into place and be removed without rewiring the entire installation.

Designed for dining rooms, kitchen islands and living spaces where multiple pendants create a cluster or canopy effect, the Glacia consolidates cable runs into one central ceiling point rather than requiring eight separate ceiling fixings. Each magnetic socket holds a pendant cable securely and can be positioned around the circumference of the rose, allowing asymmetric or geometric pendant arrangements. The rose fits UK standard ceiling mounting and conceals the wiring behind a low-profile 150mm disc.

The matt black powder-coated metal finish pairs with industrial, contemporary and Scandi interiors, and coordinates with black cable pendants or creates contrast against brass, copper or white pendants. The magnetic system means individual pendants can be swapped or repositioned without isolating the circuit or unscrewing terminals. At 150mm wide and approximately 25mm deep, the rose mounts flush to the ceiling without significant drop, keeping the visual focus on the pendants themselves rather than the ceiling hardware.

How does the magnetic system work?

Each pendant cable terminates in a magnetic connector that clicks into one of eight sockets around the ceiling rose. The connection is both mechanical and electrical, holding the pendant in place while conducting power. Individual pendants can be removed by pulling the magnetic connector free without affecting the other seven connections.

What pendant cables are compatible?

The Glacia works with Ideal Lux magnetic pendant systems and other manufacturers using compatible magnetic connectors. Standard wired pendants without magnetic terminations cannot be used unless retrofitted with compatible magnetic adapters. Check with Niori before ordering if you plan to use non-Ideal Lux pendants.

Can fewer than 8 pendants be used?

Yes. The rose supports up to eight pendants but works with any number from one to eight. Unused sockets remain concealed on the underside of the rose and do not need blanking plates or covers.

What installation depth is needed above the ceiling?

The rose requires approximately 50mm clearance above the ceiling to accommodate the wiring block and magnetic socket assembly. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
