Description

The Gaze is a large outdoor wall light built from high-performance black resin, finished with a methacrylate diffuser and a single E27 bulb fitting housed inside a traditional lantern frame. The lantern head measures 220mm wide and projects 450mm from the wall on a scrolled mounting arm, casting light through four glazed panels. The resin construction is UV-treated to resist fading and thermal shock, making it suitable for year-round UK weather exposure.

Designed for front doors, porches, driveways and patio areas where overhead porch lighting is not available, the Gaze provides directed light downwards and outwards through the lantern glazing. The IP55 rating protects the bulb fitting and internal wiring from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, allowing installation in exposed positions under eaves or on open walls without additional shelter. The E27 fitting accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.

The black resin frame replicates the weight and presence of cast aluminium or iron lanterns but without the corrosion issues that affect metal fittings in coastal or high-humidity areas. The scrolled mounting arm and decorative canopy detailing give the fitting a classical coach-lamp profile that suits period properties, cottages and traditional-style new builds. The anti-yellowing methacrylate diffuser maintains clarity over time, avoiding the milky discolouration that standard polycarbonate glazing develops after prolonged UV exposure.
