Description

The Knightsbridge G9 track spotlight combines a black die-cast aluminium body with an opal glass diffuser, mounted on a single-circuit track adapter that rotates 350° and tilts 80° from vertical. The G9 lampholder accepts retrofit halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to 40W (sold separately), and dimming capability depends on the bulb chosen rather than the fitting itself.

Designed for single-circuit track lighting systems in retail, hospitality and residential settings, the spotlight directs light onto wall-hung artwork, product displays, kitchen worktops or reading areas where ceiling-mounted directional light is needed without fixed recessed fittings. The 164mm projection from the track rail positions the light source forward of the ceiling plane, reducing shadows on vertical surfaces. The compact 60mm diameter head keeps the fitting discreet on the track, allowing multiple spotlights to be mounted without visual clutter.

The opal glass diffuser softens the output from the bare G9 capsule bulb, reducing glare when the spotlight is angled toward eye level while maintaining enough punch for accent lighting. The die-cast aluminium construction provides rigidity at the swivel joint so the head holds its angle once adjusted, and the black finish coordinates with black track rails and darker interior schemes. Class I earthed construction requires the track system to carry an earth connection, and the IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments.

What bulb does it take?

The spotlight takes a G9 capsule bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for accent lighting or 4000K for task lighting in commercial settings.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the bulb. If you fit a dimmable G9 LED and connect the track system to a compatible dimmer switch, the spotlight will dim. Non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim regardless of the dimmer used.

What track system does it fit?

The spotlight fits standard single-circuit track systems. It will not fit three-circuit or two-circuit track rails without an adapter. Check your existing track profile before ordering if you're adding to an existing installation.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the spotlight to dry indoor use. For bathrooms you need a fitting rated IP44 or higher depending on the zone.
