Description
The Focus is a single surface-mounted spotlight with a cylindrical aluminium head in matte gold, mounted on a pivoting bracket that allows the beam to be aimed where needed. The fitting takes a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) rated up to 10W, and the head rotates through approximately 90 degrees of vertical tilt and 350 degrees of horizontal rotation once fitted to the ceiling.
Designed for accent lighting in kitchens, hallways, bedrooms and retail spaces, the Focus works as a standalone ceiling spot or in multiples to highlight artwork, architectural features, or task surfaces. The 60mm diameter head and 130mm overall length keep the fitting compact enough for standard ceiling heights without protruding significantly into the room. The surface-mounted base fixes directly to the ceiling without needing a recessed housing, making it suitable for solid ceilings where cutting holes is impractical.
The matte gold aluminium construction provides a warm metallic finish that pairs well with brass fixtures, warm timber and contemporary neutrals. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor use only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or other moisture-exposed locations. The aluminium body dissipates heat efficiently when paired with LED GU10 bulbs, which typically run cooler than halogen equivalents and offer lower running costs.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Focus takes a single GU10 bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K for accent lighting.
Can the spotlight head be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The head pivots on a ball joint, allowing approximately 90 degrees of vertical tilt and 350 degrees of horizontal rotation. The joint holds position once adjusted without needing to be tightened.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is designed for dry indoor use only and is not protected against moisture. For bathrooms, a spotlight with an IP44 or higher rating is required.
How is it fitted to the ceiling?
The circular base plate fixes directly to the ceiling using screws through pre-drilled holes. The mains cable feeds through a central aperture in the base and connects to the fitting's terminal block. A ceiling rose or junction box is typically used to make the mains connection before the base is screwed into place.
