Description

The Focus LED track light lens is a 35mm diameter transparent plastic optic designed to modify the beam spread of compatible Maytoni Focus track spotlight heads. The 50° beam angle produces a wide flood distribution, covering broader wall sections, larger display areas or providing general ambient fill in commercial and residential track lighting installations.

The lens clips or screws onto the front of the Focus LED track head (sold separately), replacing the standard optic or narrower lens. A 50° beam is suitable for wall washing in retail environments, illuminating artwork or feature walls across a 1-2m width from a typical 2-3m mounting distance, and providing general lighting coverage in kitchens, living rooms and corridors where a wide spread reduces the need for multiple fixtures. The transparent finish maintains the full colour rendering of the LED source without introducing colour shift.

At 18mm height and 35mm diameter, the lens adds minimal projection to the track head. The plastic construction is impact-resistant and withstands the operating temperature of the Focus LED system without yellowing or distorting over time. Installation takes seconds — remove the existing lens or bezel from the track head, align the replacement lens, and secure according to the track head design (clip-fit or threaded mount depending on model).

Frequently Asked

Which Maytoni track heads is this lens compatible with?

The lens is designed specifically for the Maytoni Focus LED track lighting system. Check the product manual or contact us to confirm compatibility with your existing track head model before ordering.

What's the difference between a 50° lens and narrower beam angles?

A 50° beam provides wide flood coverage, suitable for wall washing, ambient lighting and illuminating larger areas. Narrower beams (15°, 24°, 36°) concentrate light into a tighter spot for accent lighting on specific objects or artwork. The 50° lens spreads light across approximately twice the width of a 24° lens at the same mounting distance.

How is the lens fitted to the track head?

The fitting method depends on the specific Focus track head model. Most use either a clip-fit bezel that snaps onto the front of the head, or a threaded mount that screws into place. The product manual linked above provides installation guidance for compatible models.

Does the lens reduce light output?

All optical lenses absorb a small percentage of light — typically 5-10% depending on the plastic formulation and thickness. The transparent finish minimises absorption, but the perceived brightness may differ from the bare LED due to the wider beam spread distributing the same lumens across a larger area.
