Description

The Focus is a 60mm diameter cylindrical surface-mounted downlight with a fixed GU10 bulb fitting and a matte gold aluminium body. The fitting projects 130mm from the ceiling, directing light straight down from the recessed GU10 socket through a clear glass lens at the base of the cylinder.

Designed for rooms where recessed ceiling lights are impractical due to shallow ceiling voids or solid concrete construction, the Focus provides downlight function without cutting into the ceiling structure. The fitting suits hallways, kitchens, bathrooms (dry zones only due to IP20 rating), and commercial spaces needing accent lighting over displays, counters or workstations. The fixed head means the light direction cannot be adjusted after installation, so positioning needs to account for the straight-down throw.

The matte gold finish is a brushed, low-sheen aluminium that reduces glare and pairs with warm-toned interiors, brass hardware and timber detailing. The 60mm diameter cylinder sits flush against the ceiling rose, and the visible portion of the fitting measures 130mm in height, giving a compact but noticeable presence on the ceiling plane. The GU10 base accepts standard mains-voltage LED or halogen bulbs up to 10W (sold separately), allowing control over colour temperature and beam angle depending on the bulb chosen.

The Focus takes a standard GU10 mains-voltage bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a GU10 LED between 5-7W and 3000K for warm white light, or 4000K for cooler task lighting in kitchens.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is only suitable for dry interior zones. It cannot be installed within bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2 (near showers, baths or basins). It can be used in the outer areas of a bathroom where there is no direct water contact.

Is the light direction adjustable?

How is it installed?

The fitting surface-mounts onto a standard ceiling rose or ceiling box. The aluminium body conceals the wiring once installed, and the GU10 bulb clips into the socket from below once the power is connected.
