Description

The Focus is a 217mm tall up-down wall light built from two aluminium cylinders wrapped in a diamond-textured metal mesh, mounted on a matt black wall plate. Each cylinder houses a single GU10 bulb (sold separately), with one projecting light upwards and the other downwards to create two distinct pools of illumination on the wall surface.

Designed for hallways, staircases, living room accent walls and bedroom feature zones, the Focus provides architectural wash lighting rather than general room illumination. The 60mm diameter cylinders extend 106mm from the wall on the rectangular mounting plate, giving enough projection to cast defined up-down patterns without overwhelming narrow corridors. The dual-beam effect works particularly well on textured walls and next to doorways, where the vertical light spread emphasises height.

The diamond mesh pattern on each cylinder is formed from pressed aluminium, creating a geometric texture that remains subtle when the light is off and becomes more visible when lit from within. The matt black finish on both the mesh and the mounting plate absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, so the fitting itself stays visually quiet during daylight hours. The aluminium construction keeps the total weight under 0.8kg, allowing installation on plasterboard walls with standard fixings.

Each cylinder takes a single GU10 bulb up to 7W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED GU10 bulbs at 2700K-3000K and 5-6W for accent lighting.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is designed for indoor use only in dry locations. It is not suitable for bathrooms, covered porches or any outdoor installation.

How far does it project from the wall?

The wall plate is 65mm wide and the cylinders extend 106mm from the wall at their furthest point, giving a total projection of approximately 110mm including the mounting hardware.

Is the up-down light pattern adjustable?

No. The cylinders are fixed in position with one facing upwards and one downwards. The light pattern is determined by the beam angle of the GU10 bulbs you install.
