Description

The Fluxion-2 Small is a 290mm single pendant with a matt black conical metal shade suspended within a polished brass wire cage, hung from a twisted gold fabric cable. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits beneath the shade, with the cage protecting the fitting while keeping the bulb visible when lit. The brass cage contrasts with the black shade, giving the pendant a two-tone industrial character.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars where ceiling heights permit a pendant to hang 600-800mm above the surface, the Fluxion-2 Small works individually over smaller tables or in a row of two or three over longer islands. The 1020mm cable length is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant height to be set during fitting. The matt black finish on the shade softens reflections, while the polished brass cage picks up warm tones from surrounding wood, leather and warm-painted walls.

The conical shade directs most of the light downward onto the surface beneath, with a small amount of light spilling upward through the open top of the cage. The E27 lampholder accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W equivalent, and the pendant is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations.

Each pendant measures 290mm across the shade and 190mm from the base of the shade to the underside of the cage. The polished brass cage is formed from 6mm wire bent into a triangular support frame with three vertical ribs and a top loop, giving the fitting a light structural presence without blocking the view of the shade from any angle.
