Description

The Flarestar is a 500mm diameter pendant light from Ideal Lux, combining a smoked glass drum outer shade with a polished chrome inner core housing 8 G9 bulb fittings. The bulbs sit on a chrome cylinder surrounded by cascading clear crystal droplets, which create refracted points of light inside the smoked glass envelope. The contrast between the dark outer glass and the reflective chrome and crystal interior produces a layered lighting effect when the pendant is lit.

Designed for dining tables and kitchen islands in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Flarestar provides both ambient and decorative illumination. The 8 G9 bulbs (sold separately) deliver concentrated light through the crystal elements, which then diffuses through the smoked glass drum to fill the surrounding space. The pendant is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer, allowing output adjustment from bright task light during meal prep to softer atmospheric light for dining.

The smoked glass outer drum measures 500mm diameter and hangs on adjustable cables from a black ceiling canopy, allowing the drop height to be set during installation. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only. The polished chrome finish on the internal cylinder and mounting hardware provides a high-shine accent that catches and redirects light from the bulbs before it passes through the crystal and glass layers.
