The Flara is a 29cm horizontal wall light with an integrated 12.5W LED delivering 3000K warm white light through a chrome-finished metal housing. The fitting projects 90mm from the wall and houses the LED behind a frosted diffuser panel that spreads light evenly across the length of the fitting rather than projecting it outward as a directional beam.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and living rooms needing ambient or accent lighting without a ceiling fitting, the Flara mounts directly to a standard wall back box and connects to mains 230V wiring. The horizontal orientation and 29cm length suits positions above headboards, flanking bathroom mirrors in pairs, or spacing along corridors at regular intervals. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only.

The chrome finish on the metal housing gives a polished reflective surface that pairs with contemporary and minimalist interiors where metallic accents are already present in door furniture, taps or radiators. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable, rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation before requiring replacement of the entire fitting. The flush-mount design sits close to the wall with minimal projection, reducing the risk of head strikes in narrow hallways.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the Flara is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, particularly not within zones 0, 1 or 2 around baths and showers where moisture is present. For bathroom use, look for fittings rated IP44 or higher.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated 12.5W LED is non-dimmable and should not be connected to a dimmer switch. Attempting to dim a non-dimmable LED can cause flickering, reduced lifespan or failure of the driver circuit.

How is the light distributed?

The LED sits behind a frosted diffuser panel running the length of the fitting, spreading light evenly along the 29cm horizontal axis rather than projecting it forward as a spotlight. This makes the Flara suitable for ambient lighting rather than task lighting.
